|This feature is impossible to miss, being clearly visible over to the right of the track leading from the harbour up - eventually - to the island's summit fort. The back wall of the zawn forms a ~ 80m face. A photograph of the zawn appeared in Climber magazine in 1997 accompanying an article by Jim Perrin about an island that he had visited with exceptionally wild unclimbed cliffs. The location was withheld, even to the extent of not revealing that the island was in Ireland!
It is not known whether any climbing has taken place here.
